The Shedworx conversion engine treats audio stream conversion in a fairly simple way.
Wherever possible, the conversion engine will preserve the format of the audio stream as it converts the video stream (which is the main job of the conversion engine).
The conversion engine will only convert the audio stream if it is incompatible with the output target (device).
